It is amazing that, no matter how many times you read the Bible, it always provides something new. The same verse can be read multiple times and still provide new lessons and insights. A newly discovered perspective on a verse can carry you through the toughest day if allowed to soak in. Staying in God’s word will result in a continuous renewing of the mind. Listening to music is often the same way. The same song can be heard many times and suddenly something can touch a soul deep within. There will be days that seem unbearable in our lives. There will be moments and events that come that are not possible to understand on this earth. No matter how tough the journey is, don’t stop reading God’s word and listening. There are things that are etched in my memory, burnt in like an image on a TV screen when left on too long. Some of the things I would love to be able to delete, just like we do today with multiple selfies taken to get the “perfect one”. Today is Tall Boyfriend’s first birthday since he lost his battle to cancer. I know where he is and do not have sadness when I think of him receiving his perfect healing and celebrating his first birthday without pain, sickness, or sadness.
In the months since becoming a widow, there have been many adjustments. Some are small in comparison to the larger parts of life such as making financial decisions alone or being a single parent. Some adjustments are felt in the day to day routines which become those quick moments that stop me in my tracks such as realizing I do not know where he kept extra furnace filters.

Balance Ministries was founded on faith that God would order steps and impart vision according to His plan.
Our Vision for 2021 is moving forward to assist those in need who are struggling with chronic illnesses such as cancer. We will be offering support groups, individual counseling in person and via telehealth for patients and their families. We will also be rolling out a gift card ministry and offering financial assistance to those needing to travel as a result of chronic illnesses. As always, please reach out to us if you have need of prayer or other needs. We may be able to help or point you in the right direction! |
