2020 Vision

Whether you are sad or glad that 2019 is coming to an end, one thing is for sure...2020 is here. What will the new year and decade hold? Do you have a 2020 vision? In the coming days we will hear this play on words as we enter a new year and new decade. How cool is it that we can envision this next year with such promise and positivity? Vision is sometimes a difficult thing to have when waiting on God to show you direction or purpose.

Balance Ministries was founded on faith that God would order steps and impart vision according to His plan. Moving into 2020, we are excited to feel God moving not just in individuals but also in relationships. How can we be balanced and steady through life’s storms without a relationship with God and with others?

Our Vision for 2020 is for revival.  Not just a revival like we have known it before, but one of relationships! We are praying that there is a move and a rejuvenation of God’s design for relationships with Him and with each other. A RELATIONSHIP REVIVAL that we can see so clearly with perfect 20-20 vision! ; ) 

God is definitely calling us to love people more, to be relational.  Somewhere along the way, the culture has shifted to such a focus on independence resulting in social isolation.  God’s will for us is quite the opposite of being independent and isolated. What if we repurposed all of our striving to be independent to being interdependent instead in our marriages, friendships, churches, and workplaces?

Being interdependent is a balance between being dependent and independent, both taking and giving, being transparent and willing to rely on God and those whom He places in our lives. We should be dependent upon God, but with each other there should be a healthy interdependence.  

What if we made 2020 a year of purposeful focus, connecting with God and each other on a whole new level?  Maybe even healing old relationships and wounds that hold strong emotions like anger or unforgiveness in our heart?

We aren’t talking about setting goals either.  Resolutions often just bring guilt and shame before January even ends! Just focus on CONNECTION.  A simple word that we can live by.

Dear Heavenly Father, 

Help us to put a focus back on your design for all relationships and allow in your still small voice in all things.  Help us to put you first in everything, to stop, to pray, and to love deeper than ever before in 2020. Help us to make room within our hearts, minds, and even our schedules for this focus.

In Jesus precious and holy name,
